A final message from TBSITW
Elaine won many battles in her fight against failing health, but I am very sorry to have to tell you that she has finally lost the war.
You have no idea how much the contact with all of you, through your blogs, meant to her. She often spoke of the things you wrote or the photos you posted, and she enjoyed sharing a bit of her own life with you. Particularly as she became less active, this electronic circle of friends was a very important part of her life. Thank you all for keeping in contact with her - rest assured, I always passed on your good wishes.
Elaine passed away peacefully in hospital yesterday, 13th May 2009, aged only 67.
By the way, my name is Enid, and to me SHE was "The Best Sister In The World".

Update
Things haven't gone as well as it appeared last weekend. Elaine is very poorly indeed and is in Intensive Care. More when I can. TBSITW

Oh no, not again..by TBSITW
Yes it's me again, the other Ugly Sister.
Elaine was home only for a day or two before having to go back into hospital. You will have read on her own posting that she was tiring easily, so it would seem she got home just a bit too soon.
Yesterday she was sitting beside her bed in MHDU with her feet up, still hooked up to monitors etc, but able to read a book brought by Best Brother, and keeping a brave face on. She's now been moved to a medical ward and a physiotherapist will be keeping a good eye on her progress there.
Her first words to my visit were, "The lengths I'll go to to get you to come and see me!". So you see, she still has her sense of humour.

She's home......
This is TBSITW.....again.......
Elaine got home from hospital today.
She is having an internet connection problem, but things should be back to normal soon. (That'll teach her to change her ISP.....I wouldn't dare!).

The Bitch is Back
Oh yes, large as life and twice as ugly. First of all so many thanks for all the best wishes.
Then a particular mention for a. Yes, please, I would love to borrow the book .
Home is an interesting adventure. 4 people are coming in and moving furniture and so on.
The idea is to mobilise me and leave me independent.
I am somewhat tired.
So is the wireless modem, so this is stone age stuff.

Another short update
I'm glad to tell you that Elaine is doing very well. She is now up and dressed each day, and is scheduled to go home from hospital on Tuesday (5th May).
I'm sure she'll be onto her blog and telling you all about her experiences almost as soon as she is back! Your many comments are still being passed on to her. Thanks to all of you,
